Carrier-Free Reconstitution: Centrifuge the vial briefly, before opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute the lyophilized protein in sterile water containing 0.1% human serum albumin. Apportion the reconstituted protein into working aliquots and store at = -20°C. Make any further dilutions of the reconstituted protein in low endotoxin medium or a buffered solution containing a carrier protein such as heat inactivated FCS or tissue culture grade BSA. Storage: Store the lyophilized protein at = -20°C, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, apportion into working aliquots and store at = -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
The bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) are a family of secreted signaling molecules that can induce ectopic bone growth. Many BMPs are part of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFB) superfamily. BMPs were originally identified by an ability of demineralized bone extract to induce endochondral osteogenesis in vivo in an extra skeletal site. Based on its expression early in embryogenesis, BMP7 has a proposed role in early development. In addition, the fact that BMP7 is closely related to BMP5 and BMP6 has lead to speculation of possible bone inductive activity.Specificatie
