Ethylenediamine dihydrochloride was used in modified ethylenediamine condensation method for fluorimetric determination of catecholamines. It was used to investigate the luminescence properties of complexes of EuIII and TbIII with ethylenediamine. It was used in the synthesis of 1,3,5-tris(4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-2-yl)benzene3
