Cryogene flacons zijn uitsluitend bedoeld voor plaatsing in de dampfase van vloeibaar stikstof, en mogen niet worden gebruikt voor opslag in de vloeibare fase van vloeibaar stikstof. Onderdompeling van de flacons in de vloeibare fase kan ertoe leiden dat het vloeibare gas in de flacon binnendringt, waardoor de vloeistof tijdens het verwijderen snel verdampt en een mogelijk heftige explosie of lekkage uit de flacon/sluitingsperimeter plaatsvindt.
Om te voorkomen dat cryogene flacons ontploffen, mogen opslageenheden voor vloeibaar stikstof niet te ver gevuld worden. De flacons moeten vóór gebruik altijd worden gecontroleerd op zichtbare defecten rondom de sluitingsranden. Gebruik tijdens het uit de cryogene opslag halen van flacons te allen tijde volledige gelaatsschermen, stevige veiligheidshandschoenen en beschermende laboratoriumkleding. Zorg ervoor dat flacons altijd langzaam kunnen opwarmen in een biologische veiligheidskast. Cryogene flacons nooit hergebruiken.

These vials provide a safe and secure vessel for ultra-low temperature storage of valuable cell cultures and biological samples. Made of polypropylene for stability in extreme temperature conditions.
- Manufactured from polypropylene to withstand temperatures down to -196°C
- Black graduations with large marking spot
- Vials have a silicone washer for a secure seal.
- 2 mL self-standing vials are available in five cap colors.
- Vials may be color coded with inserts.
- Self-standing vials have a special base design allowing them to be locked into cryogenic rack and tray (Cat. No. 431131) for single-handed manipulation.
